On 1 May 2024, the UAE Federal Decree Law No. 51/2023 on Financial Reorganisation and Bankruptcy (‘the New Law’)1 came into force. The New Law repealed Federal Decree-Law No. 9/2016 on Bankruptcy (‘the Old Law’).
