Earlier this year, the CAT published its judgment in Stellantis v Autoliv. It is the fourth judgment to contain a critical evaluation of the use of econometric analysis in UK cartel litigation cases (following BritNed v ABB in 2018, Royal Mail / BT v DAF in 2023, and Granville v LG in 2024). Yet again, the judgment highlights the pivotal role that econometric analysis plays in competition litigation cases.
This one-hour webinar parses all four judgments and examines the following questions:
1. What are the most important features of the econometric analyses used in these cases? What do they have in common and how do they differ?
2. What criteria were used to evaluate the econometric analyses?
3. What could the judgments mean for the use of econometric analysis used in future competition litigation cases?
