Counsel
LALIVE
Dr Anton Vallélian is Swiss-qualified lawyer and counsel at LALIVE. His practice focuses on cross-border disputes before Swiss and foreign State and arbitral authorities. He also advises States and international organizations in matters of international responsibility, privileges and immunities. He is one of the coordinators of LALIVE’s pro bono program.
Before joining LALIVE, Dr Vallélian worked as a paralegal in international arbitration at two leading Swiss law firms assisting counsel and arbitrators in several institutional and ad hoc international arbitrations. He was granted a Swiss National Science Foundation research fellowship and worked as a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School and as a teaching and research assistant at the University of Geneva specialising in public international law and human rights law. He worked on numerous academic contributions in the fields of public international law, international arbitration, human rights law and criminal law.
Dr Vallélian took the Bar in 2018, ranking first of his class.
He holds a Bachelor (Major of the 2011 promotion; Schellenberg Wittmer Prize) and a Master of Laws (Prize for the Best Master’s Thesis 2013; Best 2% of the University of Geneva Law School 2013 Master promotion), as well as a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Professions (2015) from the University of Geneva. He also holds a Certificate in Transnational Law (Major of the 2011 promotion) from the University of Geneva in collaboration with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. In 2021, he obtained his PhD in public international law and human rights law (Dr. iur.; Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Fellow) from the University of Geneva.

Having practised as a commercial-chancery barrister for over 20 years, Jennifer practises ADR as a neutral, helping parties to resolve their disputes by acting as an arbitrator, mediator or conducting binding or non-binding evaluations and private FDR’s.
Jennifer’s experience as an arbitrator includes disputes involving partnerships, pharmaceuticals, companies, media contracts and finance agreements. She has been appointed to many of the major arbitral institution lists, including those of BVI IAC, HKIAC, AIAC and DIAC. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She has acted as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and presiding arbitrator.
