As a Partner for Russia & CIS, Nabi leads the wide-range Control Risks’ analysis of processes and actors influencing political, operational and security environments in Russia and the country’s relations with its neighbours and key global players. A specialist in policy analysis and communications, Nabi speaks at policy and academic forums and writes on behalf of the company in the international media and academic publications.

Nabi also manages clients’ projects related to Russia & CIS and Control Risks’ research and marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Control Risks, Nabi was the chief editor of The Moscow Times, an English-language daily newspaper in Russia, where he was a political and security writer for many years. He also headed the Foreign-Language Information Service at Russia’s major RIA Novosti news agency.

Nabi has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government where he studied negotiation and conflict resolution. A native Russian speaker, he also has a degree in construction engineering from a Russian university.

Stacy specialises in financial crime and has extensive experience advising on enforcement, investigations and compliance, covering trade and financial sanctions, export controls, bribery and money laundering. She advises on all aspects of EU and UK sanctions and is also familiar with the application of US sanctions.

Oleg is an Associate Director in Control Risks’ forensic investigations practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He is a forensic accountant with over nine years of experience in fraud and anti-bribery and corruption investigations and compliance advisory engagements across a broad range of geographies and sectors.

Rebecca is a London-based associate director in Control Risks’ Business Intelligence practice covering the Middle East and North Africa. Rebecca leads complex, multi-country business intelligence, investment-support due diligence, fraud-focused network analysis and crisis- and dispute-support projects. She has a particular focus on emerging markets and operationally challenging jurisdictions.
