Mitigating Sanctions Breach Risks: A Real-World Scenario and Strategic Response

Highlights

In today’s complex global environment, companies must navigate the intricate landscape of sanctions compliance. Join us for an in-depth webinar where Control Risks experts will walk you through a hypothetical scenario—rooted in reality—of a company embroiled in a sanctions breach. The scenario involves sensitive restricted goods, like precision tools potentially used for weapon manufacturing, being discovered in Russia. Join Nabi Abdullaev, Oleg Kozlov and Rebecca Hughes from Control Risks and learn about a company's journey from receiving a whistleblower report on potential sanctions violations to the critical investigative and mitigative actions taken.

Key Discussion Topics Include:

• Understanding Sanctions Risks: Recognize the serious gaps in thinking and capacity around sanctions risks, which can lead to massive regulatory fines and reputational damage.
• Shift from Compliance to Investigation: Discover how shifting your risk approach from mere compliance to active investigation can close these gaps.
• Business Intelligence & Document Forensics: Learn to leverage business intelligence and forensic methods to minimize sanctions-related risks.
• Forensic Accounting Techniques: Understand how detailed transaction analysis, asset tracing, and examining financial records for anomalies are crucial in uncovering hidden breaches and ensuring comprehensive compliance.
