Jonathan has been a family practitioner for over 25 years.  Whilst 50% of his work is ancillary relief, he is renowned for his  knowledge and experience in Schedule 1 Children Act disputes, having acted for the father in the landmark case of Re P (Child: Financial Provision) now 17 years ago.  He has acted for one of other party in many of the higher court authorities since.  Jonathan has built a further specialism over the last 10 years in drafting and advising on pre and post nuptial agreements both here and offshore that range from assets of £5million up to £750million.   

David Walden-Smith David is a financial remedy specialist. Called to the bar in 1985, he has been a member of 29 Bedford Row since 2004. He qualified as an IFLA Financial Remedies Arbitrator in 2012 and has conducted many arbitrations since. These have ranged from multi-day hearings involving counsel on both sides - so full trial-like hearings - to limited issue arbitrations determined on the basis of written submissions only. He is described in Chambers & Partners 2020 as “just superb and a tremendous arbitrator.”
