Connie regularly assists clients who need help with their separation and the practical and financial implications arising out of this. 

Most of Connie’s clients or their partners work in the City and many have an international connection.  Connie therefore regularly works with solicitors in other jurisdictions.  Connie has expertise in international surrogacy cases and helps parents with the parental order applications required following their children’s birth.  On these cases, she works closely with members of our immigration team to resolve any issues in bringing the children home.

Connie is also a qualified mediator and assists as a mediator for clients in respect of all practical and legal issues surrounding family relationship breakdown. She is recognised as a Next Generation Lawyer in Legal 500 UK 2019 for Family: Mediation  and in Chambers UK 2020 as an Associate to Watch in Family/Matrimonial.

Jane Keir is a partner in the family and divorce team. Described as a "class act" by her peers and colleagues alike, she is  "absolutely dedicated to getting the job done for her clients many of whom are high profile or international".

Jane acts for equal numbers of men and women and many of her clients come from across the country and abroad, as well as London.  Much of her work involves an international element and she enjoys working with other lawyers, accountants, actuaries, financial advisers, wealth managers and investigators in order to provide a thorough and comprehensive service to her clients. In addition, she has immediate recourse to all the other leading teams at Kingsley Napley LLP, including Private Client, Immigration and Real Estate.

Chris Pocock specialises in divorce and matrimonial finance in disputes between high net worth parties. He has a wealth of experience dealing with complexities involving corporate and other businesses and/or complex remuneration packages, as well as with cases involving offshore and onshore trust and other asset-holding structures. Many, if not most, of his cases involve international and cross-border aspects, either substantively or in relation to enforcement.

Richard is a leading practitioner in matrimonial finance cases, including cases with very substantial assets and those involving complex jurisdictional issues. He is very experienced with cases involving corporate and off-shore structures, particularly those in which there is an allegation of non-disclosure of assets.

Richard also sits as a Recorder in the Family Court.

Meera joined Buzzacott in 2018 and is a Director in our Corporate Finance team.

She primarily advises owner-managed businesses across various sectors through Series A + funding rounds, and partial or full exits. Meera and her team work with businesses in the £10m to £100m value range, combining technical and practical knowledge in their expert assistance. 

Meera has particular interest and expertise in advising entrepreneurs in business services, supporting female-led businesses and selling UK companies to US buyers.

Prior to joining Buzzacott, Meera was in the Valuations team at Smith & Williamson, focusing on investment and tax- driven valuations

She has been a board member of the ICAEW Corporate Finance Faculty since early 2021, and has also been listed in the Accountancy Age 35 under 35 rankings, which identifies rising stars in the sector.

Recognising the results she delivers for clients, Meera has been shortlisted for the Dealmaker of the Year award as part of the upcoming Insider South East Dealmakers Awards 2023.

Beyond her desk, Meera is a mentor for The Girls’ Network, helping to empower young women and provide insight from her own experiences throughout her career. She also enjoys keeping active through running and yoga.
