She is Head of Wealth Management UK Client Service and is a member of the UK Management Committee. Kate focuses on managing investment portfolios for some of our largest and more complex UK and international private families and trusts, as well as for charities.

Kate is a director of Schroders Pension Trustee Ltd. She has completed the London Business School Investment Management Programme, as well as a BSc in Human Environmental Sciences from King’s College, London University. Kate holds the Securities & Investment Institute Diploma.

Nicholas specialises in high value matrimonial finance work. He is well known for his eye for detail, his knowledge of the law, and for his client care skills. He is Joint Head of Chambers (with Alexis Campbell KC).

Nicholas was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2018. He was appointed a Deputy High Court Judge assigned to the Family Division in October 2021 and is also a nominated Judge of the Court of Protection. He was previously appointed a Recorder of the Family Court in 2016. He was elected a Bencher of The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2021.

Nicholas is highly ranked in both the Chambers UK and Legal 500 directories. He has been ‘Band 1’ ranked in the ADR table in Chambers UK since it was first published in October 2023.

Nicholas is a qualified arbitrator (Finance) through the Institute of Family Law Arbitrators (IFLA) scheme. He was described as an “expert” in family arbitration by Peel J in G v G [2023] 2 FLR 491). He has to date been appointed as arbitrator in 33 cases and has written 26 awards (five having settled and two are ongoing). This is a significant proportion of the c. 600 arbitrations which have been registered since the inception of the financial scheme. He was also retained on a further six cases which settled or where arbitration was not pursued before his appointment was formalised. He has also conducted more than 80 private FDRs as evaluator.

Nicholas is a regular lecturer including to full-time and part-time judges at the Judicial College.

Suzanne Kingston is one of England’s best known family lawyers, and a ‘pre-eminent force in family law’. Known as the ‘Queen of mediation and arbitration’, Suzanne has pioneered the use of non-court dispute resolution in family disputes and is credited with spearheading the Family Law Arbitration Scheme in England and Wales. 

In addition to her reputation as a sought-after mediator, collaborative family lawyer and arbitrator, Suzanne remains well able to use her unique skillset in difficult litigation and has extensive experience of working with family law colleagues around multiple jurisdictions. She advises and supports clients on a wide range of issues, including complex financial matters, child arrangements and marital agreements. She has extensive experience of mediating and advising on cohabitation disputes. 

Suzanne has a large international practice and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. She is top ranked in Chambers for ‘Family/Matrimonial Finance: Ultra High Net Worth’ and is spotlighted by the directory for mediation. She is also admitted to The Legal 500 ‘Hall of Fame’. She has received a plethora of accolades throughout her career, including being named ‘Family Lawyer of the Year’ by both Citywealth and Spear’s Magazine.

Suzanne has provided arbitration training for judges and family lawyers in England and in jurisdictions as far apart as South Africa and Hong Kong. Outside of work, Suzanne chairs the London fundraising board for the cancer care charity, Maggie’s. She also serves on the council and executive committee of Durham Law School Alumni Association. She has a diploma in mentoring and family law supervision and is very involved in Women in Family Law (WiFL).
