Highlights

In this, the first of a two-part series of discussions on the topic, our legal, accounting and market experts will discuss M&A deal volumes, deal structures, new investment vehicles, advances in technology and the rapidly changing economic conditions, which have contributed to the number of M&A disputes in recent years.

Among other themes, our panellists will cover:

  • The outlook for both M&A and M&A disputes over the next 12-18 months, ahead of the next annual BRG M&A Disputes Report which will be released in November 2022
  • Some of the industry sectors most involved in disputes— hospitality & leisure, life sciences, technology, energy & resources
  • Geographies which are seeing high levels of litigation
  • Innovation and new deal structures – including the rise in SPACs - in M&A and implications for disputes
