Mark focuses on divorce and family law, in particular international cases and those involving trusts. He also deals with pre-nuptial and pre-civil partnership agreements.
Mark also acts in international children’s cases, including relocation cases. His Court of Appeal case of K v K helped to shape the law on relocation. In S v S, Mark achieved relocation but also change of primary carer for the children.
Mark was ranked one of the top ten UK family lawyers in Spear’s Wealth Managements’ Family law index 2017, 2018, and 2019 and was described as “without doubt the best technician in London”.
He was also ranked in The Lawyer’s ‘Hot 100 lawyers’ under Family and Private Client and is listed among the Top 10 Family & Matrimonial Lawyers in Citywealth’s Leaders List and Spear’s Family Law Index’s ‘Top Flight Family Lawyers’. Mark is the co-author of three leading textbooks on family law: International Trust and Divorce Litigation (Third Edition), Same Sex Marriage and Civil Partnership – The New Law, and Model Letters for Family Lawyers, all published by Jordans. Sir James Munby, President of the Family Division, in a review of International Trust and Divorce Litigation said “This is a book which needs to be in the bookcase and in the briefcase of everyone involved on a divorce case with a trust element”.
Mark is a regular commentator on family law issues in the press and TV, having appeared on BBC News and Radio 4’s Today programme. He regularly lectures in England and in offshore jurisdictions on a broad range of family law issues, especially trusts on divorce and pre-nuptial agreements, and was the European Chapter President of the International Academy of Family Lawyers between 2014 and 2016.

Abby is a Partner in the Family and Divorce team who specialises in matters involving all aspects of private family law and in particular complex financial issues and private children cases.
Abby is recognised in Chambers UK, Chambers High Net Worth Guide, Legal 500 UK and Spear’s Family Law Index. She was shortlisted as Woman of the Year - Rising Star in the Powerwomen Awards.
Abby is a member of the Founding Committee for Thought Leaders4 HNW Divorce Next Generation committee and has spoken at and chaired numerous ThoughtLeaders4 events.
After reading English Literature at The University of Manchester, Abby went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course in Bloomsbury. Abby was a paralegal at a magic circle firm in their Mergers and Acquisitions team before commencing her training contract with a Lincoln’s Inn firm in 2008 and qualifying into their Family Team in 2010. Abby joined Kingsley Napley in 2012 and was made partner in 2020.

Caroline is a partner in the Private Client team and specialises in resolving trust and succession disputes both onshore and offshore.
She advises on all manner of contentious issues relating to the formation and administration of trusts, contested probate, professional negligence in respect of tax and trust planning and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. She also has significant experience advising trustees and beneficiaries in relation to complex trust applications involving variations, agreed compromises or blessings of the exercise of trustee powers. Recent cases have included proceedings in England, The Bahamas, Bermuda, BVI, France and Jersey.
Caroline’s expertise also includes advising trustees and beneficiaries on issues of trust law arising in the context of divorce proceedings and proceedings in the Court of Protection in relation to the appointment of a deputy, applications for a statutory will or codicil and Deprivation of Liberty matters.

Alex has been responsible for writing some of the largest and most complicated loans in the matrimonial funding space, often including jurisdictional disputes and or Part III applications.
Before setting up Schneider Financial Solutions Alex ran a private wealth consulting business with clients including offshore trustees, family offices, investment managers and chartered accountants. He has significant experience in the commercial real estate sector, especially in the structuring and implementation of alternative finance arrangements.

I have over 14 years’ experience working in our insolvency and asset recovery team specialising in global asset tracing, recovery and enforcement.
I have a specific focus on assisting beneficiaries, trustees and representatives in matrimonial, family, trust and probate disputes as part of our contentious estates and family disputes specialism with the support of my colleagues in the corporate intelligence, forensic, and valuation teams.
I lead personal and corporate appointments in this field and work closely with solicitors to identify, safeguard, value and recover assets across numerous jurisdictions on cross border recoveries.
I lived in the British Virgin Islands for two years where I led several high-profile feeder funds in liquidation, which enabled me to obtain experience in understanding and unwinding complex corporate and trust structures in offshore jurisdictions.

Professor Jonathan Harris KC (Hon.) practises in all core areas of commercial and chancery litigation. He has a pre-eminent reputation in the field of private international law and specialises in cross-border disputes (particularly disputes raising issues of jurisdiction, arbitration, anti-suit injunctions, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and choice of law- both under the European legislation and the common law rules). He also specialises in offshore litigation. He has also drafted firewall and asset protection legislation for a number of offshore jurisdictions (including BVI and Gibraltar).
Jonathan is joint general editor (with Lord Collins of Mapesbury) of the leading work Dicey, Morris and Collins, The Conflict of Laws (and is also responsible for eleven chapters).
Jonathan was instructed for the successful appellant in the Privy Council in Hutcheson v Spread Trustees, a case concerning trustee exemption clauses in Guernsey. He was also instructed for the successful respondent in the landmark Supreme Court case of Granatino v Radmacher on pre-nuptial agreements.
He has been instructed in landmark offshore cases including Charman v Charman and Mubarak v Mubarak.
Jonathan also regularly provides expert opinions on English law for foreign proceedings as well as on the law of offshore jurisdictions.
Jonathan is a member of the Lord Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Private International Law. He was legal advisor to the Ministry of Justice in negotiations on the EU Succession Regulation. He gave evidence to the House of Lords EU Select Committee on the implications of Brexit for cross-border dispute resolution.
He is author of The Hague Trusts Convention and co-author of International Sale of Goods in the Conflict of Laws. He has also contributed to two editions of Underhill and Hayton, Law of Trusts and Trustees and to Benjamin’s Sale of Goods (8th edition). He is co-editor of the Journal of Private International Law, joint general editor of the Oxford Private International Law Series and an editorial board member of Trusts and Trustees. He is a member of STEP and honorary member of ACTAPS.
Jonathan also holds the position of Professor of International Commercial Law at King’s College, London on a part-time basis; and is Senior Research Fellow at Jesus College, Oxford and Harris Manchester College, Oxford. He has previously been Visiting Professor at the National University of Singapore and Visiting Professorial Fellow at the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Gregor is developing a busy commercial and chancery practice with a particular interest in commercial litigation, contentious trusts and probate (onshore and offshore), trusts issues in financial remedy proceedings, company and insolvency, and civil fraud. Rob is head of Bedell Cristin's litigation team. He is a very experienced commercial litigator and insolvency specialist.
On the litigation side he is involved in a broad range of commercial litigation, particularly disputes involving trusts and is regularly involved in assisting with applications by trustees and beneficiaries including in relation to rectification, mistake and the rule in Hastings-Bass.
On the insolvency side he also works closely with insolvency practitioners in Jersey and elsewhere. He regularly advises companies, directors, shareholders, creditors and insolvency office holders on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring work, particularly where there is a cross border element. Current or recent insolvency work includes acting for liquidators in the court winding up of a Jersey corporate group owning valuable real estate in Jersey; acting on a novel and contested letter of request application; acting for the company and thereafter the liquidators of a significant listed Jersey technology company; acting on a novel application to restore a company to the register and convert its status from summary winding up into creditors' winding up.
