Why You Should Attend The Academy Sessions

What are the Benefits?

Membership of the Academy will offer each firm the opportunity to send up to two practitioners to an Academy Session each time. These Sessions will each be different from the previous ones so firms can send the same practitioners each time or can send different practitioners as time and capacity allow.

During each Session, attendees will get to:
+  Showcase their own knowledge to their peers
+  Learn from peers across the spectrum of private client practices
+   Network with practitioners who will be ‘coming-up’ as they themselves advance, building relationships that could last their entire careers

How Does an Academy Session Work?

Each Academy Session will have around 60 attendees having between 5 and 6 discussions across several tables. Each table will discuss different topics with real practical considerations and attendees will join each table at some point in the afternoon. In this way they will discuss multiple private client topics and scenarios with a number of industry peers, learn how others handle situations and how differing jurisdictions and practice areas will impact the decisions they need to make in the advice they give.

Discussions will be led by more senior practitioners with experience on the topics under discussion, drawn from members of the TL4 Private Client community. These facilitators will offer their expertise but will primarily be opening and facilitating the discussions amongst the attendees.

Format & Timings For Each Academy Session:

The day opens at 12.30pm with Registration and Welcome where you check-in for the event and meet your fellow attendees. 

Between 1:00pm - 2.20pm delegates attend Round Table 1 & 2. 

A Networking Tea/ Coffee break refreshes the pallet and the mind ready for the afternoon sessions. 

2.40pm - 4.00pm we delve into Round Table 3 & 4 before another Networking Tea/Coffee break.  

Round Table 4 & 5 round out the day before a drink to unwind at the end of the day. 

We cap the Day with a Post-Academy Drinks Reception from 6-7pm to mix and mingle with your fellow attendees and contributors in a relaxed setting.
