Andrew practices in all areas of commercial law, particularly financial services, professional negligence, civil fraud, insurance and media and entertainment. He is a member of the Executive Committee of COMBAR and a member of the Bar Council’s Legal Services Committee from 2001 until 2017, representing the profession on the government’s Public Legal Education taskforce. He was a founder member of the Bar Council’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. He was the Chairman of Trustees of the Tower-Hamlets based charity, Spitalfields City Farm from 2009 until 2017.

Marlena has a wide-ranging practice across all of Chambers’ main areas of work, with a particular emphasis on civil fraud, commercial disputes, public law, and international law. She has appeared in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, County Court, Upper Tribunal and the employment tribunal. Marlena also has an offshore practice, and has worked on substantial commercial cases in the Cayman Islands and the BVI.

Tony has been involved in many of the most complex and high profile disputes of recent years. He acts as Lead Counsel in complex, high value fraud cases in all the higher courts  involving civil fraud, abuse of intellectual property, theft of confidential information or similar forms of commercial dishonesty, often leading multi-disciplinary teams of barristers, solicitors, investigators, foreign lawyers, computer experts and forensic accountants and involving world wide freezing orders, search orders, disclosure orders and committal. 

Shane is a highly rated senior junior with a practice focused on commercial disputes. He is regularly instructed against leading counsel, and has extensive advocacy experience of both trials and appeals. He balances sole instructions with working as part of a team on larger cases.       

Carmine has a broad practice across the full range of commercial disputes, with specific expertise in commercial contracts, commercial remedies, civil fraud, equity and trusts, insolvency and arbitration.  He frequently acts in high value and complex multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation and international arbitration.  Carmine is frequently instructed in connection with litigation abroad, being admitted to practise in the British Virgin Islands and being an Australian Legal Practitioner.  He also brings a diverse professional and academic background to bear on his practice.
